March 10, 2017 at the age of 85 years.  Beloved husband of the late Marcellene “Marce” for 62 years.  Loving father of Michele Nowak, Cynthia (Dennis) Swodzinski, Susan (Benn) Ranchau and Janet (Paul) Henry.  Dear grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 6  great-grandchildren.

Visitation Friday March 31 from 4:00PM until time of memorial service at 6:00PM at the funeral home. Private family entombment at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight appreciated.

Fred was a proud U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran. He enjoyed fishing and a good round of golf. He and Marce were season ticket holders for Marquette basketball games.  Fred worked for Thurston Greene Sugar Brokerage Company. In 1980’s, he began his own sugar brokerage company known as Hewitt’s Brokerage. He was truly our own “Sugar Daddy”.
